Information on the cost of each injection is available by calling the health center. We do not bill insurances for these services. A receipt will be provided for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

The following immunizations are required for matriculation:

  1. Meningococcal A vaccine: Pennsylvania state law mandates that ALL college students living on campus receive this vaccine.
  2. Meningococcal Group B (Bexsero or Trumemba): Several recent outbreaks of serogroup B meningitis on college campuses in this region highlight the importance of vaccinating for this deadly strain of meningitis. This strain of meningitis is not covered by the traditional meningitis A vaccine.
  3. MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella): Two doses, 28 days apart.
  4. Varicella vaccine (chicken pox): Two doses of the vaccine or documentation of past disease or reactive titer test.
  5. Tetanus-Diptheria-Pertusis (DPT): Primary series with Tdap booster within 10 years.
  6. Polio vaccine: Completion of primary series.
  7. Hepatitis B series: Three doses of vaccine.

Tuberculosis Screening:  all students are required to complete a screening form when entering Lafayette College, based upon guidelines of the American College Health Association and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. TB screening form

Flu Shots: The health center offers flu shots to all students. An email is sent notifying everyone of the dates, times and location each semester. A $20 charge can be billed to the student’s account. Consent form should be printed, completed and brought with you on your clinic date.

Immunizations are provided by appointment only at Bailey Health Center, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m. and 1 p.m.–4 p.m.
