Bailey After Hours

After hours, students have several options for care:

Lehigh Valley Health Network On-Call Nurse

Students may call with any medical concerns or questions, free of charge. Lehigh Valley Health Network 610-590-2719.

  • Weeknight coverage (except winter and spring break): Monday-Thursday: 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning.

St. Luke’s University Hospital (Virtual visits)

For care after hours, or if appointments are fully booked at Bailey Health Center, students can also utilize St. Luke’s virtual urgent care visits 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. while on campus (seven days a week, no appointment needed). Student accounts will be billed $49 for these visits. Conditions treated include: cough, cold, Covid, Flu, UTI, sinus infection, rash, insect bite, diarrhea, constipation, pink eye, and more. A typical wait time is less than 10 minutes.

  • Download the St. Luke’s app and click “Start a Virtual Visit” on the home screen. When prompted, enter your personal information and promo code “Lafayette”.
  • A provider will ask about your condition and symptoms. If needed, they can call in a prescription, order imaging, recommend a specialist, refer you to urgent care, or book a follow-up appointment at Bailey Health Center. After 11 p.m. you may be connected with a nurse who will advise on next steps.
  • The St. Luke’s team is available 365 days a year (weekends/holidays and during all breaks). However, the patient must be located in PA or NJ at the time of the virtual visit, due to Federal Telehealth laws. The patient must be located in a state where the provider is licensed. If a student goes home to California for example, they will need to seek care locally.

Fall Break/Winter Break/Spring Break

The Bailey Health Center will be open 9 a.m. to noon, close for lunch, and then reopen 1-4 p.m.

Summer

During the summer a nurse is available on a limited basis (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday). There are no regularly scheduled physician hours.

Messages left will be checked on a regular basis EXCEPT for weekends.
