Dr. Jeffrey Goldstein, director of health services, sent the message below to the campus community Friday, March 11. Also sent to parents, it is the latest in a series of communications keeping the campus and parents informed about the virus that has impacted the College.

To the Campus Community

I am writing to provide an update, as the College continues to address the outbreak of the norovirus that has affected the campus. The Bailey Health Center remains open for normal hours. Area hospitals and the Health Center have seen only very sporadic cases of students with norovirus in the past two days.

Facilities continues ongoing cleaning and sanitizing of the campus, and we have made disposable gloves, paper towels, and disinfectants which are effective in killing norovirus available in the bathrooms of every residence hall on campus.

I would like to draw your attention to additional information on clean-up, disinfection, and hand washing.

The College will resume its normal operations on Monday. Thank you for your continued support and teamwork.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Goldstein, MD
Director of Health Services
